Wes Davis (#326) suffered a fatal heart attack Tuesday evening while
(doing what he loved) riding at the Helena Motocross Track.
On behalf of: Myself as well as Wes’s many friends I would like to offer a
small tribute to a fallen comrade…
Wes was a true pioneer of our sport whose tenure dates back to the 70’s.
From his brash and boisterous youth to the kind and gentle soul that rode
with Pooh Bear on his front fender, he always had a smile to match the glow
of his charm. With his distinctive white beard, he was occasionally
encumbered with the title of “Santa”, which ultimately dignified his
gracious character. Wes, always in a good mood, or so it seemed, made him
easy to be around, a pleasure to call friend and heart wrenching to lose.
It’s hard to imagine a world without Wes but as his friends would all know;
he wouldn’t care to have us lament his passing but rather celebrate his life
and our friendships. And, so it is: With heavy hearts, we bid him farewell.
